Lamp on lampstand
Lamp on lampstand
Mark 4:21-23 『And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? For there is nothing hidden, which shall not be manifest; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.』
Expressed from the first day to the seventh day in Genesis chapter 1, it is divided into light, firmament, land (seed), Maor, bird (sea), beast (man), and rest. This can be applied by connecting it with the terminology of the sanctuary and the contents of the Gospel of John and the Book of Revelation.
On the fourth day, Maor is like a lampstand. The Book of Revelation refers to the seven stars (messengers of the seven churches). The seven stars represent those who spread the gospel (saints). Saints become like stars who believe in present-day resurrection. In Chapter 7 of the Gospel of John, Jesus talks about Jews who cannot recognize the light. So in chapter 8, Jesus says that He is the light. And in chapter 9, Jesus heals a blind man. The season at that time is related to Pentecost. The Book of Revelation is related to the contents of chapters 6 and 7, which are about the seven seals and seals. As the Holy Spirit comes at Pentecost, believers receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and go out into the world to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of God begins in the hearts of believers. This is Emmanuel.
When a church member becomes Emmanuel, he or she becomes a light within the church. To be Emmanuel is to have Christ with us. In other words, a person who believes that he died with Jesus and was resurrected with him becomes Emmanuel. So resurrection becomes the lamp.
Light radiates within it. There are those who are light in the church, and those who are not light are distinguished. So, it becomes the principle that those who are not light see the light and everyone becomes light. Light first shines inside the house and then goes out. A person who becomes Emmanuel in the church shines to everyone in the house. The house means the church of God. This means that there are those in the church who are shrouded in darkness. Because, there is a divide between those who believe in present resurrection and those who do not. This is the same as the parable of the wheat and the weeds. Before the light illuminates the whole world, one becomes the one who illuminates the house first, and then the light radiates to the whole world.
The light of this world is the light spoken of in Genesis 1:3.『And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.』Because this world is in darkness, God shines light. The original true light is Jesus Christ. In John 1:5, “And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 』God sent Jesus Christ to a world in darkness to become light. However, many people in the world do not know who Jesus is. He doesn't even try to know about the resurrection. Even though he says he is a believer, he does not believe in a present resurrection.
Those who believe in the present resurrection, that is, those who have entered into Christ, can shine light to others. But before that he was in darkness, and he could not shine. Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.” Jesus did not tell those in Christ to be light, but declared that they were light. We cannot become light on our own. However, in many churches today, people pray, “Let us be the light,” or “Let us be the light.” They cannot be light on their own, yet they say, “Let us be light.” If you are in Christ, you become light, and I pray that you may become light. This is, so to speak, the prayer of those who were not born from heaven. Those who have been resurrected to new life and are in Christ have already become light.
